Grand Lake and Granby Area Campgrounds
Elk Creek Campground and RV Resort is the perfect place for those who want to experience the outdoors of Colorado but do not want to sacrifice all the amenities of civilization. However, if you are more the “Roughing-it” type, this is probably not the place for you. Very few campgrounds in Colorado offer more services and amenities than Elk Creek. Even an on-site general store is provided for those campers who can’t bear to be to far from a shopping opportunity. The restroom facilities include large showers and are well maintained. Laundry facilities are also available.
Elk Creek is located just west of the town of Grand Lake and very near the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park. The close proximity to so many activities and attractions, as well as the on-site amenities within the resort attracts a bit of a crowd but the sites are relatively private. A trout pond, playground, recreation room and many more activities are available to guests. Elk Creek boasts terrific wild life viewing with elk in large numbers in the area and moose sightings are not uncommon (as moose sightings go).
Tent sites, cabins and full service RV sites each include a picnic table and fire ring (fire wood can be purchased at the front office). Cabins are carpeted and all have electricity, table, chairs, a full size bed and a set of bunk-beds. Visitors must provide bedding and pillows.
