Grand Lake and Granby Area Campgrounds
Green Ridge campground sits in a lodgepole pine forest on the south shore of shadow mountain lake. Grand Lake and Lake Granby are also nearby. The campground sits in a valley so it does not offer much in the way of scenery from the campsites but the surrounding forest is a tranquil setting and the nearby lakes are very scenic. Hand powered and wakeless boating is aloud on the lake and the fishing fine for the beginner. Tent pads, picnic tables, grills and fire rings are provided and the facilities include vault toilets, drinking water and a boat ramp. Reservations are not accepted so campers would be wise to have a contingency plan. For the most private setting, look for walk in sites 18-22.
