Chapman Campground

Chapman campground lies within the Sopris Ranger District in White River National Forest. Chapman is a large campground that is well spread out to offer privacy and a bit of seclucion. Popular with anglers, Chapman campground sits near Chapman Reservoir and the Fryingpan river. "The Pan" as it is called, has been classified as a Gold Medal fishing river by the Colorado Division of Wildlife. Picnic tables and fire rings are provided.

Driving Directions:
From Glenwood Springs, follow Highway 82 to Basalt, then take Fryingpan Road east about 33 miles. Look for signs to Chapman campground on the right.
